Sainfoin (Onobrychis viciifolia) A spreading perennial with graceful spikes of bright pink flowers through summer. In spring or autumn soak seed for 1-2 days in warm water, then sow directly outside, 1-2cm deep in a well-cultivated seed bed where plants are to flower. Thrives in full sun in well-drained lime-rich soil.
