Yellow rattle (Rhinanthus minor)

Regular price £3.00

Also known as 'the meadow maker', this little annual helps establish wildflower meadows by suppressing the growth of vigorous grass.

About this product

In new meadows, sow fresh seed in late summer or autumn along with a wildflower meadow mixture. In existing grass, cut very hard in late summer, remove clippings and scarify ground with a rake to expose some bare soil; sow seeds before winter. Aim for a small handful of seed per square metre. This Wildflower species will help you (and your bees and butterflies) enjoy native flowers in your garden. For more wildflower gardening tips and advice, visit www.plantlife.org.uk/wildflower_garden
