Meadows and other species-rich grasslands now cover less than 1% of the UK. Inadequate protection, changing farming practices and a lack of public awareness has caused 97% (7.5 million acres) to be lost in less than a century.
Our new project Cluster Meadows follows on from the highly successful Coronation Meadows project - where 90 new meadows were created in counties across the UK. We will work closely with community experts to create networks of connected meadows, a permanent nectar source for our precious pollinators and will bring us closer to our target of creating 120,000 hectares of species-rich grassland within the UK. Please will you help us?
Thank you for your support for wild plants, your donation will make such a difference.
