About this product

When: Monday 12 August

Morning walk - Rare Plants of the Cairngorms - 9.45am - 11.45am, Grantown-on-Spey

This guided walk, led by Alistair Whyte, Head of Plantlife Scotland, and Gwenda Diack, Cairngorms Project Officer, will visit two Caledonian pinewoods close to Grantown-on-Spey to discover how conservation is helping the rare plants that live there, including the delicate Twinflower and one-flowered wintergreen. The walk will be at a slow pace on gently undulating terrain both on and off un-surfaced woodland paths. In order to minimise car parking at the woods themselves, we will car-share from Grantown. 15 spaces available.

Bring your own packed lunch and join us for a picnic at Loch Morlich Beach. Meet at the Forestry Commission Public Car Park, please note car parking charges apply. All welcome but booking essential so we know to expect you.
