Scotland Members' and Friends' Day 2018
About this product
When: Wednesday 5th September 2018 10.00 - 16.00
Where: The Royal Botanic Garden, Edinburgh
Come along to Scotland Members' and Friends' Day this September at the Royal Botanic Gardens, Edinburgh. See the wonderful gardens and learn more about the work Plantlife is doing in Scotland as well as across the UK with your help.
As well as updates from Plantlife Scotland and UK staff, there will be a talk on our ‘Cairngorms Wild Plants’ project. We are delighted to also offer the chance to hear from the Royal Botanic Gardens about their work on arctic-alpine plant conservation in Scotland. This will include a talk from a leading RBGE scientist on the reintroduction of rare and threatened plant species to the Highlands of Scotland.
Following a buffet lunch, there will be the opportunity to take part in a range of guided walks around the gardens, looking at the arctic-alpine species discussed in the morning sessions, undertaking a lichen safari and finding out more about international plant conservation in the glasshouses.
Email firstname.lastname@example.org if you have any further questions.
Booking deadline is Monday 13th August 2018 and joining instructions will be sent out prior to the event.
We look forward to meeting you.
