Teasel (Dipsacus fullonum)

Teasel (Dipsacus fullonum) A familiar biennial with tall stems bearing lilac flowers and seeds in cone-like heads; very attractive to wildlife. Sow directly outside in spring or summer where plants are to flower, scattering seed onto a well cultivated seed bed and raked in lightly. Thin seedlings to about 30cm apart. Loves a sunny spot with well-drained soil.
